KHON in Thailand

Khon is the most popular Thai dance since previous time. It is performed by troupes of non-speaking dancers, the story being told by a chor at the side of the stage. Choreography follows traditional models rather than attempting to innovate. Most khon performances feature episodes from the Ramakien.Costumes are dictated by tradition, with demon wearing colored mask.My grandfather told me when I was young he used to played Khon in front of the King Rama6. He was so proud to present for everyone in my family. While he played that he was excited and so happy. Even though my grandfather was died, I still remain him when he played Khon in front of the king.
